Add SRT Subtitles to FLV Video Files on Windows 10/Mac El Capitan

How to add SRT subtitles to FLV video? Want to add SRT to FLV, VOB, WMV, MP4, AVI, MKV, etc? If so, here this article will give you a clear answer.

Question about Adding subtitles to FLV videos: “ Hi. I've been looking for a German video to add subtitles to for ages, and I think this Lindenstrasse.de may be useful. I was wondering, does anyone know how (or what software to use) to convert "xfred" files to avi or mpeg ones, so that I can add the subtitles using "Windows Movie Maker". I really hope someone can help, thanks in advance.”

You can add subtitles to a FLV file in a number of ways. Some prefer to encode the subtitles to the file itself, making it possible to burn the file with the subtitles to DVD. Others like to keep the subtitles separate, and use special players that can display subtitles while keeping them separate from the movie file itself. Both methods are fairly easy, and can be done using free software. Here, we will show you the four part to add SRT subtitles to FLV video, just pick up the way as you want.

Part One: Using FormatFactory

  • Locate the directory with the desired FLV file. Make sure the subtitle file in question is in the same folder and has the exact same file name as the FLV file.
  • Download and install FormatFactory (see Resources). Launch the program after installation is complete.
  • Click on the "Video" tab and select "All to FLV."
  • Click "Add File" and select the desired FLV file. Click "OK" to return to the main screen.
  • Click "Start." FormatFactory will take the FLV file and the SRT file and combine them, creating an FLV file with the subtitles burned in.

Part Two: Using Any Video Converter

  • Go to the directory with the desired FLV file. Make sure the subtitle file in question is in the same folder and has the exact same file name as the FLV file.
  • Download and install Any Video Converter (see Resources). Launch the program after installation is complete.
  • Click on "Add Video." Select the desired FLV file and click "Open."
  • Go to the "Profile" menu on the right-side and select "Flash Video Movie."
  • Scroll down on the options menu on the right-side. The last selection in that menus should say "Subtitle." Click next to that to open a drop-down list. Select the subtitle stream that shares the name with the FLV file.
  • Click "Convert" and Any Video Converter will create a new version of the FLV video with the subtitles encoded on it.

Part Three: Using VLC Player

  • Go to the directory with the desired FLV file. Make sure the subtitle file in question is in the same folder and has the exact same file name as the FLV file.
  • Download and install the VLC Player (see Resources). Launch the program after installation is complete.
  • Go to "Media" and then "Open File." Select the FLV file you want to play and click "Open." The subtitles should begin automatically with the file. If they do not, proceed to step 4.
  • Go to "Video" then "Subtitles Track" and select "Track 1." This will not encode the subtitles to the FLV, but it will allow you to view them with the FLV file. Read Source: here.

Christian Dior iPhone 6S Plus Case (Tuesday, 29 September 2015 06:52)

Leaked videos appear to show that the BlackBerry Priv will have the same sort of weave to the rear as we saw - and loved - on the Q10, but highly polished. Given that this whole phone revolves around a slider mechanism, it's a sure bet that it will have a metal frame.

I only own one pair of Air Jordan 1s (Chicagos) so I’m always looking to add another. The theme behind this colorway is ok but I’m not a huge fan of orange sneakers.
