This guide will show how to convert DVD movies to Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD, so that you can freely play your own DVD movies on Kindle while travelling.
Many children enjoy the Kindle Fire HD because they can use it to read books, watch videos, install apps for learning, make phone calls, surf the Internet and play games. Now I have some DVD collections and want to copy movies we have and transfer to the kids Kindle Fire HD for watching while we are traveling.
When I did a Google search on how to copy movies for the Kindle the instructions and find the software programs as below, there are multiple software products available for this purpose. Now I would like to share my experience to all of you!
At first, the highly recommended one is Pavtube DVD to Kindle Converter, a professional DVD Converting program to help you easily remove commercial DVD protection and transfer the movie to MP4 with best settings for Kindle Fire HDX, Kindle Fire HD.
1. You can get 30% off on Summer Holiday Promotion. End on Dec.10, 2013. Never miss!
2. They provide free trial (no time limitation) before purchase; and you can reach the Mac version here (Also 30% off now)
3. If you want to get multiple languages in the converted video, try this DVD Ripper Pro.
There are some other options:
- DVDFab 9
DVDFab 9 can both rip DVDs and re-encode them to MP4s in a single step. Moreover, the software is capable of ripping most commercially encrypted DVDs. There is a 30-day free trial for the software, after which you must purchase it if you want to continue using it. The user interface is easy to understand, and there is even a profile specifically for the Kindle Fire. To access the Kindle Fire profile, click on the "Ripper" tab, and then click on the "Device" tab; the Kindle Fire option is located under the Amazon section. But it is $49 only for one-year license.
- Aimersoft DVD Ripper
Aimersoft DVD Ripper is another single product solution for directly ripping a commercial DVD and re-encoding it into the MP4 format. DVD Ripper also has a free trial version. But, there is no specific option for the Kindle Fire in the profiles list. Instead, you must choose the H.264 option under the Common Video option. You can watch the resulting video file on any device that supports the MP4/H.264 video format.
- DVD Shrink and Handbrake
A completely free method for re-encoding commercially encrypted DVDs into the MP4 format uses two different software products -- DVD Shrink and Handbrake. DVD Shrink rips the DVD and stores the file on your computer's hard drive, while Handbrake converts the file into the MP4 container format. There is no Kindle Fire option for Handbrake, but there is a general MP4 option in the Container drop-down box on the main screen. Also, it can't deal with last DVD discs.
Vidcoder can re-encode some DVDs directly to the MP4 format, but it cannot decrypt commercial DVDs. However, you can work around this limitation by using Vidcoder in conjunction with DVD Shrink
or another DVD decrypter program. To create a file that can be read on the Kindle Fire, choose the MP4 option from the preset menu. Vidcoder also supports Blu-ray ripping, but it does not support
subtitles and some Blu-ray encryption.
Now I will introduce the easy way to transfer movies to my Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire with the best DVD Ripper which I'm highly suggested.
First, get the top DVD Ripper for Kindle downloaded and installed.
